52 Week Challenge…Yikes!

At the start of 2013 I had, what I now think was, a moment of madness and foolishly I publicly made a new year’s resolution to cook at least one new thing every week for a year. Admittedly I have got a bit bored in the family kitchen and repeatedly cook what I know works and what the children like time and time again. occasionally I have been known to make new things but they’re generally a tweak of something I already know works, so that doesn’t really count does it?

The Domestic Goddess

The Domestic Goddess

I am most relieved to say that to help me on my way I shall be “In the kitchen with Nigella” once a month.  I wish I could have her with me every step of the way but that would just be be cheating wouldn’t it?  At least once a month I know I can relax and that those weeks will be a success. I’m afraid left on my own for the rest of the time goodness knows what will happen!

Not Quite The Domestic Goddess!

Not Quite The Domestic Goddess!

I’m hoping that this challenge will force me out of my comfort zone and that I’ll learn new skills and explore new combinations of foods and methods without swearing too much!
I’m also hoping that this challenge will involve lots of cake.
I only agreed to do it because of the cake!
